Participation - Weekend

For people interested in dance and dance professionals

All courses are free of charge. It is possible to attend half or full days. Tanzmehr invites participants to a shared lunch. 

The registration deadline is over. There are only a few places left for Lab 1 on Saturday and Lab 2 on Sunday. Interested parties can register for these via info@tanzmehr.ch.



Program Saturday October 21st

Kulturhaus Helferei, Breitinger-Saal, Kirchgasse 13, 8001 Zürich

 

10:00 – 13:30   Practice Sharings

Choreographers Tina Beyeler, Micha Stuhlmann and Tristan Bénon share their working processes and give participants a sneak preview of their piece. The Sharings last 60 minutes, with a 15-minute break in between.
For anyone interested in dance aged 8 and over.


13:45 – 15:00   Lunch together and break


16:00 – 18:30   Lab 1: "Contemporary dance is white - what can we do about it ?”

 

Anna Chiedza Spörri shares information about Critical Whiteness and encourages participants to look for ways to make Artistic Community Dance projects more accessible and safer for people who have experienced racism.

Tanzvermittlung Schweiz invites dance mediators and anyone interested in dance to find out more about this field of dance mediation and exchange ideas.

For adults.
"Dance in the social context" includes offers aimed at social participation, for example in asylum centres, psychiatric hospitals, institutions for the disabled or prisons. Dance contributes to integration, diversity, empowerment, psychosocial health and much more.
